Company History

Founded in 1985 in Chehalis, Washington, Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute is the story of a group of physicians who bring a human touch to the sophistication of eye surgery. Their surgical excellence and compassioned concern for referring doctors and their patients has made the Institute a legend in its time.
PCLI is a referral and consultation facility complimenting the expertise of optometric physicians throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Institute provides high caliber medical care in the areas of:

* Cataract surgery
* LASIK surgery—treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
* Glaucoma care
* Corneal care
* Eyelid surgery
* Retinal care

While each facility is staffed and designed to meet the most sophisticated medical needs of referring doctors, the Institute also provides the ultimate in patient consideration. Created for the comfort and convenience of its guests, PCLI's comfortable, homelike atmosphere reassures patients and minimizes their fear of surgery. Here, patients and family are treated as special guests and their concerns are taken seriously.

In addition to fostering technical advances, PCLI plays a key role in developing new and improved surgical techniques. But, it is the quality of service that patients remember—the excellent surgery, exceptional patient care, and professional cooperation with their family eye doctors.

In addition to the Corporate Offices in Chehalis, Washington, the Institute consists of thirteen ambulatory surgery centers in five states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Four additional facilities are being constructed at this time, one in Albuquerque, New Mexico, bringing the total network up to 17 facilities in six states by the first quarter in 2009.
