Company Overview

For 120 years now, we’ve been known not just for our capabilities, but for our character: for medicine that’s innovative, compassionate and intelligent. In the process, we have grown from a strong regional children’s hospital to one of America’s best. This year we made the U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll list of the 2012-13 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. Ranking eighth on this prestigious list, Nationwide Children’s is one of only 12 children’s hospitals nationwide to earn this “best of the best” national distinction.

But with that growth has come a new realization: that simply providing world-class care within the four walls of the hospital is no longer enough. To continue to achieve our mission of creating a healthier future for every child, for every reason, we must take a much more active role in the community around us. Rather than waiting for children to come to us, we go to them.

As a national pediatric leader, we aspire to provide the highest quality of care during treatment. We are also now uniquely positioned to positively shape the long-term health of children. Our results will first benefit the community we serve and in the process redefine what is possible for children everywhere.
