McAlester Regional Health Center provides services to a service area to a population of approximately 180,000, which includes McAlester and the surrounding Southeastern Oklahoma region.

The facility is a Level III Trauma Center and is approved and recognized by DNV Healthcare Inc., American College of Radiology, College of American Pathologists, and the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. Services offered include:
Allergy, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency Care, ENT, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Geriatrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Radiology, and Urology.

Plans are being discussed for establishing a new ED and ICU, increasing square footage from 6,600 to 22,000 square feet.
