Company Overview
Come live and work in a quiet, safe community located in an all-season recreational area in scenic Central Maine surrounded by lakes, ponds, and mountains. Dover-Foxcroft offers a great school system, including a private Academy with no tuition for residents, and the Flagship campus of the University of Maine is nearby. Mayo Hospital has 25 physicians and 400 staff members dedicated to providing acute medical/surgical care, intensive care, surgical services and obstetrics in an inpatient setting, as well as a wide array of outpatient services. In addition, we own and operate eight physician practices in the surrounding area.
Mayo Regional opened in 1978 and is governed by Hospital Administrative District 4, which was established by 12 towns to serve the healthcare needs of residents in a three-county area of rural central Maine. Dover-Foxcroft is the county seat of Piscataquis County, and there are many community and cultural events offered for all ages throughout the year.
