Kootenai Health is the fourth largest hospital in Idaho with the goal to be a nationally recognized regional health system by 2020. Kootenai is a community-owned hospital, serving patients in northern Idaho, eastern Washington and western Montana. Kootenai offers over 250 licensed beds, 14,500 annual admissions, 350,000 annual outpatient clinic visits, and has the busiest emergency department in the state. There are nearly 350 physicians on the medical staff and over 2,300 employees (one of the largest employers in northern Idaho).
