Company Overview
Capital Region Medical Center (CRMC) consists of a non-profit community hospital of 100 acute inpatient and 14 rehabilitation beds; 28 primary and specialty care clinics. A growing component to the organization is our employed physician providers who staff both inpatient services as well as the outpatient clinics. Invasive cardiac catheterization, vascular lab, and open heart surgery are provided. CRMC also provides outpatient medical services, home health, diabetes management, outpatient rehabilitation, therapy and fitness. Cancer treatment includes medical oncology, diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. CRMC has over 600 Corporate Health clients that choose from multiple service options. In the most recent fiscal year, the organization earned 36% of net revenue from the inpatient side of care delivery, 46% from the outpatient side and 18% from the physician/clinic billings.
As is typical with most health care organizations, the inpatient revenue percentage continues to decline with increased care delivered on an outpatient basis.
CRMC’s primary and secondary service area encompasses eight counties in mid-Missouri with a population of over 200,000. Net patient revenues are over $140 million and net margins have been positive. In 1997, CRMC affiliated with University of Missouri Health Care (UMHC). The primary health care institution is University Hospital in Columbia. UMHC includes Columbia Regional Hospital, Rusk Rehab Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Mount Vernon Rehab Hospital, Missouri Psychiatric Center and Cooper County Hospital.
Connecting with the community is an important part of the culture at CRMC. The Board of Directors, Medical Staff, and Management work closely together to keep people involved and activities coordinated.
Capital Region Medical Foundation (CRMF) is the fund development and community support organization for CRMC. CRMF has a Board of Governors consisting of over 350 supportive community members throughout the service area.
“Partners” is the auxiliary and volunteer organization which has over 260 volunteers and 640 members. Partners is a very active organization that provides significant services and funding.
