Mee Memorial Healthcare System is an acute care/long term care, not-for-profit, community facility, licensed for 94-beds, in King City, California. King City is located in southern Monterey County, 62 miles from Monterey, California, and 45 miles south of Salinas, California. As the only hospital within 50 miles, Mee Memorial serves an area of several thousand square miles with an encompassed population of approximately 50,000. The hospital began operations in 1962 and completed a replacement hospital in 2001 and an expansion in 2007. Mee Memorial Healthcare System includes more than 90 physicians, family nurse practitioners, and physician assistants representing more than 14 specialties and sub-specialties and more than 400 employees and 24 volunteers. For over 50 years, Mee Memorial has provided all the residents of South County with highly personalized care, state-of-the-art medical technology and a knowledgeable professional staff. Mee Memorial Healthcare System has a network of five community clinics to serve its patients; four in King City and one in Greenfield. Greenfield is currently in the midst of a 3 million dollar expansion. The hospital and clinics provide a full range of primary and select secondary services. With a strong management team and progressive and engaged Board of Trustees, Mee Memorial continues to expand its physician base, augment its technology and equipment, promote the hospital and its services and seek beneficial partnerships within the medical field and community-at-large.
