Description

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for a variety of higher level routine and non-routine functions.  This includes journal entry analysis and preparation, variance analysis to support month end analytics, account reconciliations, assist with budget preparation and other projects as assigned by the Controller.  The primary purpose of the Senior Accountant position is to work with the accountant, patient accounting, payroll and accounts payable to provide accounting and administrative support when needed.  This includes reviewing transactions and providing guidance to ensure transactions are accounted for correctly and to propose/implement changes in processes when necessary. 

Requirements

        Bachelor’s degree (BSBA w/major in Accounting)  

        Five years of progressive accounting experience is required w/computerized GL System.    

        At least 2 years of hospital/healthcare financial experience is preferred.

        Broad knowledge related to personal computer (PC), operate a 10 key calculator.

        Above average understanding & experience of Microsoft Excel is required.
